Scottish Provident pays out on 97% of life insurance claims

I saw my Business Development Manager today and this is what he told me.They are very proud of this too! However we thought perhaps a 100% on life insurance might be more appropriate? It turns out that the 3% they didn’t pay out doesn’t have some exciting underlying story about sightings of the claimants living it up in Argentina…

In fact life cover has a terminal illness option, so if you are diagnosed with having less than 12 months to live you can claim the life insurance whilst you are still alive. The declined claims occured when doctors said the life insured wasn’t about to keel over just yet…..
